A scheduled monument, it’s a must-see for history lovers and those looking to enjoy a peaceful riverside stroll. The charm of Wallingford was recognised by Dame Agatha Christie, the English crime novelist, short story writer and playwright, who lived in a Georgian property on the edge of town until she died in 1976.
A life-size, bronze statue of Agatha Christie, created by figurative sculptor Ben Twiston-Davies, now sits overlooking the Kinecroft in her memory.
