The Clarinet Collective, a group of accomplished freelance musicians, returns to St. Mary’s Church this year with an exciting concert program. Known for their vibrant and eclectic clarinet sextet performances, the ensemble will present uplifting music spanning from the 18th century to the present. The concert will feature new arrangements of works by Bach, Mozart, Ravel, and Holst, including the first movement of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto no. 1. The second half will celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day with wartime classics, such as Holiday for Strings and It’s a Lovely Day. Flower arrangements will also be on display during the concert and South Oxfordshire Artweek (11th–17th May). Admission free with a retiring collection, however all seats should be reserved in advance by email to victorialmedcalf@gmail.com Profits will be shared between St.
Mary’s Church and the Longcot Village Trust. Bar open from 5.30 pm and at the interval.
