Medieval Jousting
Following the immensely popular first instalment earlier this year, Stonor Park’s blockbuster jousting and falconry event is returning this September.
Ready to wow and entertain visitors once again, the Knights of Royal England are bringing back their spectacular medieval entertainment to Stonor’s beautiful grounds on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September.
Prepare to witness an exhilarating clash of power and endurance as brave knights gallop through the arena, lances at the ready, displaying exceptional horsemanship on their valiant steeds in a bid to defeat their adversary.
Soaring across the skies, impressive falconry displays will also be taking place throughout the day, as majestic birds swoop across the parkland whilst spectators learn about the history of falconry through the ages. Visitors can take part in the action too with hands-on experiences from the Middle Ages including archery and axe-throwing.
Entry to Stonor Park’s adventure playground, Tumblestone Hollow, is also included in the great value tickets. Suitable for all ages, including a dedicated toddler section featuring a water-play area, the playground is full of spiralling slides, secret tunnels, an adrenaline-fuelled zip wire, climbing walls and ropes, wooden bridges and whimsical turrets.
As well as access to the woodland adventure playground, tickets include entry to Stonor’s historic gardens, where the whole family can soak up the glorious spaces and beautiful planting as autumn starts to creep in. The unique family home, Stonor House, will also be open in the afternoon throughout the weekend, ready to share its stories from the past, providing an all-round multi-generational experience.
Plenty of refreshments will be on offer with a fantastic range of street food vendors, offering everything from barbeques to pizzas to burgers, a pop-up bar and gelato ice cream served from the playground.
Early bird tickets to Stonor’s medieval jousting are available for a limited time. These are £35 for a family of three, £45 for a family of four and £55 for a family of five, with early bird adult tickets also available at £11.60.
Child tickets are £13.45 for children 3-4 years, £15.50 for children over five years and children two and under go free.
Parking is free and there will be an additional charge for the archery and axe-throwing activities.
