I Want to Move! Movement Improvisation Workshop – November 14th, 11am – 12.30pm.
Explore the possibilities of improvisation as a creative tool, and develop confidence stepping into the unknown. Practice fine-tuning your attention, cultivating awareness of sensation, and improvising in changing environments, without the need for a plan.
Learn with an experienced improvisation and performance practitioner to move with greater creative freedom, develop tools to increase awareness in your body and find new forms of expression. These are dynamic and exploratory classes with and without music.
In these facilitated workshops you are supported to:

*Increase awareness in your body

*Learn how to respond to the moment
*Explore dancing without the need to follow choreography
*Build confidence
About the sessions and facilitator:
Learn in small groups (up to 6)
Each session will be supported by a music and prompts
Alice is an experienced performance practitioner, improvisor and artist who has facilitated workshops for over 10 years in universities UK-wide. She has an MFA from Trinity Laban / Independent Dance. She works across visual and live art contexts; with archives, and in community settings.
What to bring: Comfortable trainers, and clothes that cover legs and arms, water, a notebook and pen.
