Family Archaeology Day 2025

Wallingford Museum’s traditional and very popular family archaeology day runs as a drop in event, from 11am – 4pm. A great chance for the family to meet local archaeologists and historians and to get hands-on with archaeology.
On the day you will have the chance to see some archaeological finds and take part in a “mini dig”, as well as getting “hands-on” with crafty archaeological activities.
You are welcome to bring in your own fossil and finds from Wallingford and the surrounding villages, for our palaeontologist and archaeologist to identify, if possible! The Finds Liaison Officer for Oxfordshire will also be available on the day.
Please note that normal admission prices to the museum apply.
